Guy America Airlines
Guy America Airlines was formed by ex-Pan Am pilot Anthony Tirri, Guy
America Airways received an International-Territorial certificate from
the CAB and began scheduled service on June 2, 1981, between New York
and Georgetown, Guyana, using the dormant route authority previously
held by Tirri's employer. The company planned to expand its services in
the Caribbean, but instead began European charters as American Overseas
Airways. The airline's certificates were revoked in March 1983 for FAA
and CAB violations. It had also purchased three DC8-62 but never
operated them.
